Although it is a very expensive measure (costs: about one million guilders) to replace all old crates, owner Harry Meens attaches great importance to the use of ‘clean crates’. “It is a pity that we only found out now, otherwise we would have switched to cadmium-free crates fifteen years ago,” says Meens in the newspaper.
